5 of 5 More than a Metal Head June 14, 2019
Reviewer: Frank D'Angelo from Chandler Az
Despite being designed as a high gain metal amp, this amp will do a variety of styles well.
The amp uses a shared eq for the clean  and gain channels, which is fine!
The clean channel sounds nice not sparkling like a Fender but pretty clean and very usable.
The gain channel is very diverse, capable of serving up classic rock/hard rock tones in addition to heavier metal tones.
With the addition of the boost feature the gain channel can become very tight ,perfect for modern metal. No overdrive pedals needed.
For more classic rock tones, you can reduce the gain, and if wanted introduce an overdrive or boost pedal also with lower gain settings.
Finally the effects loop works very efficiently, and I like to run a delay and reverb pedal to   give space, dimension and ambient textures when needed,At 50 watts with two 6L6 tubes,it has plenty of power and clean headroom.
This is a very great underrated value of an amp.I love mine, and I love the great deal and service from Instrument Alley!
