No fault to instrument alley here, but Cremona needs to work on their packaging and setup. If you want to ship the instrument bridge down with strings installed, a piece of foam should be placed under the tail piece to prevent the ball ends from scratching the violin.
Now for the sound post, for an advanced student violin I would think the post should be installed and ready to play after the bridge is raised. The sound post was fallen and rolling around inside of the violin. When taken out and examined, the post was very poorly sized and pitched on both ends, a new sound post was required.
The instrument when set up properly sounds very bright (almost too bright) and projects well. Finish is a bit coarse but not really an issue in playing. Pegs as always could use a little compound, strings are okay.
To be honest I'm not sure I could recommend this unless you intend to have a luthier set it up.

The item was delivered in good condition, and on time. The violin has a much more full, and vibrant sound from within it than the violin it is replacing. The item fully meets the needs for its intended purpose.

Excellent violin, came with everything I needed to start playing except rosin and Instrument Ally sells that too so good to go. Sounds beautiful. Received super fast as well. Highly recommend and will be back.
