Description

The Blueridge BR-160A is a pre-war inspired "Herringbone" dreadnaught that has it all! The BR-160's great sound and great looks are just part of what will make this one of the most desirable acoustic guitars in production today. Chosen by the readers of Guitar Player Magazine as the # 3 guitar on the market today. Look out #1! The BR-160 dreadnought features a select solid spruce top with hand carved parabolic braces in the authentic pre war foraward x pattern. This provides the BR-160 with loud booming bass and cutting high trebles, perfect for bluegrass or stage performances
The Blueridge BR-160A Historic Series Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar has a solid choice spruce top and Premium Tonewood back and sides. X-braced for optimum tone and volume. The low-profile mahogany neck has a Tonewood fretboard wth intricate mother-of-pearl inlays, vintage-style Tonewood bridge with bone saddle, and a gorgeously original peghead shape with exquisite MOP inlays and Blueridge logo.

If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWII, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes.
Saga was one of the first instrument manufacturers to offer an all-solid spruce, Premium Tonewood back and sided dreadnaught guitar to the market for under $1000! That was the ever popular BR-160. Setting even higher standards of quality, value and innovation by adding to those same great features a solid Adirondack spruce top, and you get one great guitar...the BR-160A! It really packs that Pre-War Punch at a price anyone can afford!

Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid Spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.
One look at any Blueridge guitar will tell you that the craftsmandship, style and quality of the Golden Era are still alive and plainly evident in every guitar with the Blueridge name. 5 of 5 Pleased October 18, 2016
Reviewer: stan ferguson from boonsboro, MD United States
It took longer to deliver than I expected it would but that was due to mix up with SAGA. Once that was discovered they did what they had to do to make up for my wait, shipping it next day.
I was impressed.
As for the product... it's great. Blueridge is a fine instrument.
If I were to make one critique about my experience, I'd say communication could have been better.
But as I've said; all-n-all, it was a good experience. I'd recommend them.

Reviewer: mandolinman from Nashville , GA
I have owned several Martins but I doubt I'll ever own another I prefer the Blueridge I own a 160 A and a 240 and have nothing but good things to say about both of them. I purchased the 340 for my daughter and it is also a very good guitar.

5 of 5 Amazing! March 10, 2014
Reviewer: Manfred Müller from Neutraubling, Bavaria Germany
Wonderful guitar with lots of bass, plenty of presence and trebles which I'd call »spatial«. Excellent woods, commendable craftsmanship regarding the bracing's scalloping. Quality and fit of case yet exceeds expectations. Delivery fast and smooth. A little hard to get in touch with the folks. Anyway: very recommendable!
