This pre-war inspired "Herringbone" dreadnought has it all. The BR-160's great sound and great looks are just part of what will make it one of the more desirable vintage-style acoustic guitars in production today. It starts with a solid Sitka spruce top and hand-carved parabolic top braces that respect the prewar forward X-pattern. Tonewood back and sides add a strong bass to the spruce top's already full sound. The slim mahogany neck is comfortable and features a dovetail neck joint and adjustable truss rod. Beautiful appointments include a Dalmation tprtoise-style pickguard and mother-of-pearl neck and headstock inlays.

If you've been searching for a Golden Era guitar that isn't priced like it's made of gold, then Blueridge guitars are for you. Reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWII, Blueridge guitars are made with the same techniques as their antique counterparts, including many by-hand processes.

Like the best instruments, Blueridge guitars aren't overbuilt; they're crafted to be light and resonant. Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional, forward-position, hand-carved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid Spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod, and butterbean-button, Kluson-style tuning machines with an updated mechanism for modern precision and feel.
One look at any Blueridge guitar will tell you that the craftsmandship, style and quality of the Golden Era are still alive and plainly evident in every guitar with the Blueridge name. The intricate MOP inlays, the careful workmanship and tremendous tonal quality of each Blueridge ensure that these fine guitars will be highly collectible. They're most definitely the benchmark of value and affordability today. Like the finest guitars of the Golden Era, each Blueridge has the traditional dovetail neck/body joint and each model's neck features an adjustable truss rod. The Kluson-style enclosed tuning machines with "butterbean" buttons, in either gold or nickel, have the perfect vintage look yet offer modern precision and feel.

5 of 5 Blueridge BR-160 Purchase January 29, 2018
Reviewer: Ed S. from Sussex, NJ United States
First time I've purchased from Instrument Alley, believe their model is great pricing, minimum after sales support, warranty claims will be handled by the OEM. I was able to buy a new BR-160 Acoustic Guitar almost $200 less than what Amazon was selling for. Guitar was received about 2 weeks after placing my order, great condition, no issues at all. Based on my experience, I would recommend Instrument Alley to anyone shopping for the best possible price, with the understanding that there is minimum warranty support from Instrument Alley if you run into issues.

4 of 5 Great Buy January 14, 2017
Reviewer: DLA from Blythewood, SC United States
So, I've got a Martin Custom D but was persuaded by reviews to try out the BR-160.  It took a minor tweak to the action and one of the ablam fret markers is mostly missing...but, I don't care much 'bout the bling.  Short story, this is my favorite now...wonderful sustain and richness in tone, light, clean action and very nice work inside the guitar.  Can't beat it for the money.  The shop was also good about answering my questions and it got here safe and sound.

3 of 5 cistomer service October 23, 2015
Reviewer: Margie Hurd from Fort Myers, FL United States
well they sell great guitars at good prices but the customer service people need to get  little training or at least thinker skin, they cannot take any criticism at all with our getting all defensive and WOW are they slow at responding, but again if you can get past that they sell great stuff

The guitar is a amazing. The service from IA was perfect. Their price is the best I've seen. The guitar arrived in perfect condition, was set up perfectly by IA, and was in a very nice case that was included for free. I will buy my next guitar from IA.
