Description

Guitars made with all solid woods (top, back & sides) are the most desirable of all acoustic guitars. The tone tends to be richer, clearer and louder with more sustain. Until recently, owning an all solid wood acoustic was only a dream for many an aspiring picker. With their elegantly crafted Rosewood fretboards and bridges, Abalone rosette and Mahogany binding, the Timber Ridge Series provides the the finest Washburn acoustic tone while keeping your bank account in tact. With solid tops of Sitka or Englemann Spruce and Cedar and body woods of Mahogany, Rosewood or Ovankol, the Timber Ridge Series offers a wide range of tones for all styles.

The Washburn
WD250SW is a traditional designed and styled dreadnought acoustic with a strong connection to guitars from Washburn's past. The all solid wood WD250SW features a solid spruce top with a solid rosewood body. The all solid wood construction produces a deep, resonating tone that accentuates the performance of each strum. Friends and fans will be well pleased with how responsive this instrument is. The slim taper mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with traditional dot inlays and will feel comfortable in your hand. The Washburn WD250SW Acoustic Guitar is one of the great acoustic values on the market for an all solid wood guitar for under $500.

If you are serious about playing the guitar and don't want to spend a fortune, pick up a Washburn Timber Series guitar!

4 of 5 nice guitar, good price August 8, 2016
Reviewer: from lewiston, NY United States
The guitar is nice and was a good price based on internet search. Part of the appeal was it came with a hard case, but I was not forewarned that the case came with a California Prop 65 sticker, which from what I can tell is pretty typical of guitar cases. When I inquired about the sticker I did not get a reply from Instrument Alley, I did get a reply from the Washburn people, telling me not to eat or lick the case.

5 of 5 More than I expected February 16, 2016
Reviewer: Dennis Fraser from Skull Valley, AZ United States
I'm what I'd call a guitar addict, owning or having owned dozens of them, including Martin, Gibson, Guild, Fender, and many others. I was looking for a guitar that I could just sort of knock around with and not be too concerned about damaging in some way. I wanted a solid wood guitar. A friend told me that a Washburn would be a good idea. I decided on the WD250SW and I'm very satisfied with my choice. It sounds good, looks good, and plays as well as a lot of more expensive acoustics. It's more than I expected.
What made it even better was that Instrument Alley's price, which included a deluxe hardshell Washburn case, was far lower than anywhere else I could find the guitar without a case. An unbeatable deal.
